Mission of the position
The main aim of the Head of FDC is to pursue opportunities to cover the Member Association’s running costs and investments from private, corporate and public sector donations in order to increase / establish the financial self-sufficiency of the Member Association, to define, implement and fulfil the middle-term FR /FDC strategy reflected in the business plans of the Member Association and to publicly communicate the mission and the achievements of SOS Children’s Villages.

International sponsorships
• Responsible for sponsorship work in the country, implements the necessary organisational systems and procedures so that the sponsorship programme runs smoothly. As all levels of the organisation work together to increase sponsors’ commitment and offer mutual support, and share information, knowledge and expertise, is directly responsible for ensuring that sponsorship works within the country runs smoothly according to the International Sponsorship Policy Support Document.
Public Funding
• Responsible of establishing the national process of Public Funding development; Supports the process of development of projects for institutional donors, i.e. facilitates communication between all organisation’s levels and locations in the project design stage; implements the necessary organisational systems and procedures so that the process of grant preparation runs smoothly.

Qualifications
1- University degree ideally in marketing and sales, business administration or social science.
2- Proven track record of at least 3-5 years in fundraising or similar profession in a leading position.
3- Proven track record in direct marketing and at least one other FR-channel (online, F2F, SMS, etc).
4- Proven track‐record of at least 5 years in sales and marketing either in the profit sector in a senior position – offline and/or online.
5- Experience in the use of online marketing, use of social media as part of a fully integrated FR approach.
6- Good understanding and practical experience of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems incl. database solutions being able to manage the full donor life cycle.
7- A proven track record of at least 3‐5 years in leadership and management.
8- Able to lead, motivate, mentor, coach and manage the fundraising team.
9- Capable of setting and achieving ambitious and realistic targets.
10- Able to represent and be professionally comfortable with High Net Worth Individuals and SOS national major donors.
11- Experience and competence in dealing with managing income and expenditure budgets.
12- A strong result focused orientation combined with a proven competence in strategic planning, budgeting, analysis and evaluation.
13- Proven market analysing skills.
14- Efficient in time and resource management.
15- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills both local language and English.

Must criteria
University degree in business administration, education, social science discipline or similar.
Minimum 5 years leadership experience at a senior management/executive level in a larger or complex organisation.
Prior experience in one or more of the following functional areas: fundraising, marketing, human resources, finance/budgeting, social services provision, community development, education.
Experienced in strategy development, change management, driving innovation.
English language fluency in addition to the national language.
Understanding and usage of ICT and virtual collaboration in daily business.
Readiness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
